Karen J. Nyhuise, 59, of Owensboro, died Friday, February 18, 2011 at Owensboro Medical Health System. Karen was born in Portland, OR., to the late Albert and Louise (Miller) John Sr.
She was a clerk at Jimmy's Liquor Store in Owensboro.
Surviving is her husband, Dan Nyhuise, a son, David Phares of Tigard, OR., a daughter, Christine Knoke of Portland, OR., a brother, Phil Koenig of Hillsboro, OR., a sister, Martha Roberts of Girabaldi, OR., as well as her adopted family at Jimmy's Liquor's and the surrounding community.
The Nyhuise family wishes to express their gratitude to everyone for their support for Karen and them during her illness. "Our guiding light now shines brightly in the heavens"
There are no immediate services planned. The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Paralyzed Veterans of America, 7 Mill Brook Road, Wilton, NH., 03086.
