Karen Lynn Doyle-Sanders

Karen Lynn Doyle-Sanders, 75, of Owensboro, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born March 25, 1948, in Shreveport, LA, to the late Col. Richard M. Doyle and August Morgan Doyle. Karen graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Louisiana Tech. Her grandparents were from Ireland, and she was very proud of her Irish heritage. Karen was a wonderful wife, mother, and dearly loved spending time with her three grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Jeffrey Doyle.

Karen is survived by her husband of 51 years, Dr. Vaughn Sanders; a son, Ryan Sanders (Heather); a daughter, Kelly Strehl (Jared); grandchildren, Sloane August Sanders, Keaton Adam Strehl and Kennedy Morgan Strehl.

A time of gathering to celebrate the life of Karen Sanders will be held Wednesday, December 6, 2023, from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
