June Marie Moser Parker, 86, of Owensboro died Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Signature Healthcare. She was born in Cabot, PA on August 1, 1930 to the late Alfred J. and Margaret Kelly Moser. June was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, had graduated in 1948 from DUFF Iron City College with a business and accounting degree and was co-owner of Owensboro City Transfer with her husband. She was active in the Owensboro Lioness Club, and enjoyed baking, gardening, sports, traveling and visits with family and friends. She was also preceded in death by the love of her life, Lawrence R. "Larry" Parker to whom she had been married to for 62 years; her brothers, Alfred, James and Vernon Moser; and a son-in-law, Garnet Vance.
Survivors include her daughters, Carol Jaggers (Larry), Gail Parker all of Owensboro, Kathy Vance of Bowling Green, and Sandra Bell (Joe) of Parkersburg, WV; sons, Jeff Parker of Glasgow and Larry Parker (Dione of St. Petersburg, FL; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Don Moser (Mae) of Lynchburg, VA and Walter Moser of Cabot, PA; sisters, Violet Berz of Ft. Wayne, IN and Sylvia Oiler of Cabot, PA; sister-in-laws, Margaret Moser and Norma Moser; a niece, Terri Rogers of Rome, OH that she considered her fifth daughter; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Services will be Noon Saturday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Entombment will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 pm until 8 pm Friday and after 10 am Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
