June G. Ivy

June Ivy, 84, of Owensboro, died Thursday, August 26, 2010, at Wellington Parc. She was born June 27, 1926 to the late James and Mary Winston Gibson in Union County. She was a retired bookkeeper, a homemaker, enjoyed eating chocolates and reading.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Ivy, on May 3, 1996, and a son Johnny Ivy in 1989.

Survivors include her son, Jim Ivy and his wife, Becky of Owensboro; three grandchildren, Lindsey Day, Sarah Ivy and Neil Ivy; two step-grandchildren, Craig Dean and Casey Dean, two great-grandsons, and two step-great-grandsons; her sister, Evadean Dempewolf of Henderson; a daughter-in-law, Delores Ivy of Hendersonville, TN; nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 4:00 PM until 7:30 PM Saturday, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, services will be private. Entombment will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Global Outreach - Haiti, School Sponsorship Program, P.O. Box 1, Tupelo, MS, 38802.
