June Jessup Gentzhorn

June Jessup Gentzhorn, 90, of Owensboro, passed away on October 17, 2005 at the Carmel Home. She was born on June 17, 1915 in Muhlenberg County to the late Herbert and Mattie West Jessup, Sr. Mrs. Gentzhorn was a member of St. Stephen Cathedral, a registered nurse, a member of A.R.C.H.E., Womens Club of Chicago, Kentucky Nursing Association and a member of the D.A.V. She had served in the South Pacific during World War II as an Army Nurse. Mrs. Gentzhorn was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Curtis Gentzhorn.

Survivors include one brother, Herbert Jessup; one sister, Dorothy Robertson; four nephews and two nieces.

Services will be held on Thursday, October 20, at 10:00 a.m. in the Carmel Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. at the Carmel Home. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Carmel Home.
