Juel D. Matthews

Juel D. Matthews, 85, of Owensboro, passed away December 20, 2015 while in the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. Born April 29, 1930 to the late William and Sarah Snyder, Mrs. Matthews retired from MedCo. As an Administrator, was a member of Life Community Church, the Daughters of the American Revolution, and volunteered for fifteen years at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Juel was a loving mother and a very faithful servant of Christ. Mrs. Matthews is preceded in death by ten brothers and sisters.

Surviving are her children, Cary D. Matthews, Willard E. Matthews Jr., Michael L. Matthews, Amy R. Matthews, Charles R. Matthews and his wife, Debra, and Jess W. Matthews; five grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Bro. Kenny Rager officiating. Burial will follow at Boling Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-7:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 12:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
