Judy Lynn Winkler

Judy L. Winkler, 72, of Philpot passed away Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. The Daviess County native was born February 17, 1953, to the late Bramlett Daugherty and Elsie Mae Hendricks Daugherty. Judy attended Owensboro Senior High School with the class of 1971. She was employed at Dal Tile before retiring from J.C. Penney. Judy enjoyed sewing, crafts, wordsearch, and was an avid reader of romance novels. She loved playing cards and was an unbeatable Rummy player. Judy was feisty with a great sense of humor and loved going shopping with her daughters around the holidays which were a special time for her and her family together.

In addition to her parents, Judy was also preceded in death by her brother, J.R. Daugherty and two sisters, Pamela Kaye Daugherty and Donna Crowley.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 34 years, James Winkler; daughters, Kalyn Ward and her husband, John and Billi Kelton and her husband, Mike all of Philpot; two grandchildren, Jake and Lauren Kelton (Carlos); brother, Ronald Daugherty (Susan) of Masonville; brother-in-law, Ronnie Crowley; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service for Judy Winkler will be noon Friday, November 7 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be Thursday from 3:00 until 7:00 pm and Friday from 11:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Philpot.
