Judy Barnett Rowland

Judy Barnett Rowland, 59, of Maceo passed away Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Heartland Villa surrounded by her loving family. Born August 25, 1959 in Daviess County to her late beloved parents, Charles Barnett and Bernadean Whistle Barnett, Judy graduated from Apollo High School ('77) and was employed by Wetzel's as the first female meat cutter in Owensboro. Later she began working as a bookkeeper at Moorman Transportation where she met her future husband, Byron Rowland. She loved flowers and gardening as well as quilting, sewing, knitting and anything involving needle work. Judy also enjoyed flipping houses. Later in her career, she was employed in Human Resources at Owensboro Community and Technical College.

Those left to cherish her memory include her devoted husband of 18 years, Byron Rowland; daughter, Christine McBride and husband B.J. of Maceo; grandchildren, Allison, Aidan, and Axel McBride; twin sisters, Linda Calhoun (Ed) and Brenda Leet (Glenn); twin brothers, Larry Barnett (Dana) and Gary "Buck" Barnett (Sharon); several nieces and nephews; good friend, Vickie Hagan and Judy's "fur baby" cat, Peanut. The family would like to express special appreciation to the staff at Heartland Villa for their loving care of Judy.

The funeral service for Judy Rowland will be 2:00 pm Sunday, March 17 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where visitation will be Saturday from 12:00 to 3:00 pm and Sunday from 12:00 until time of service. Burial will be in Yellow Creek Cemetery.
