Judith “Judy” Ann Kasinger, 80, of Owensboro passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at Twin Rivers Nursing and Rehab Center. The Daviess County native was born September 21, 1943, as the oldest of twelve children to the late Eugene and Eva Matlock. Judy was a member of Buena Vista Baptist Church. She loved old movies and Westerns and enjoyed listening to country music. Friday nights would usually find her down at the riverfront listening to gospel music. Judy loved taking trips to Branson, Missouri and talking for hours on the phone to her late brother, Robert. Judy’s greatest affection was reserved for her grandchildren and their fur babies.
In addition to her parents, Judy was also preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, W.D. “Casey” Kasinger in 2001, siblings, Robert, David, and Mark Matlock and her aunt, Dorothy Stith.
Those left to cherish her memory include her two sons, Christopher Kasinger and wife Catherine of Owensboro and Scott Kasinger and wife Susan of W. Bloomfield, Michigan; three grandchildren, Bridget Kasinger of Ft. Collins, Colorado, Cory Kasinger of Denver, Colorado, and Shannon Kasinger of Los Angeles; siblings, Sue Garrett, Patsy Brumley (Keith), Eva Payne (David), Alice Douglas, Rickey Matlock (Nancy), Larry Matlock, and Janice Matlock; numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a visitation Saturday, November 25 from 2:00 until 4:00 pm at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. A private burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
