Juanita Williams Steele

Juanita Williams Steele, 81, of Owensboro, died Tuesday, November 11, 2003 at the Hermitage Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the daughter of the late James Franklin and Layrue Crowe Williams; attended the University of Kentucky; and was a member of the First Christian Church, the Friendship Sunday School Class and the Christian Womens Fellowship. Mrs. Steele was a homemaker and had worked in an insurance agency and for the H & R Block Income Tax Company. She enjoyed playing golf and bridge with the ladies and golf with her husband.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Carlton Steele; a daughter, Sandra Bowling and her husband Ed of Carmel, IN; grandchildren, Reid Williams Bowling and Erin Elizabeth Bowling both of Lexington; a brother, James Franklin Williams and his wife Susann of Indianapolis, IN; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 9 A.M. (CST) Thursday, November 13,2003 at the Glenn Funeral Home with Dr. Tom Norvell and Rev. Nikki Jorgensen officiating. The committal service and burial will be in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, KY at 3:30 P.M. (EST) on Thursday. Visitation will be at Glenn Funeral Home from on Wednesday from 4-8 P.M. (CST) and after 8:15 A.M. on Thursday..
