Juanita Putman

Juanita Ninnie Putman, 83, of Owensboro, died Monday, October 29, 2007, at Owensboro Medical Health System. Ms. Putman was a Daviess County native who worked at J.J. Newberry& Co., in Owensboro, and opened stores around the country, and retired from Woolco as the manager of the Red Grill, and fountain. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophesy.

She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Putman in 1956, mother Nola Rice Putman in 1962, and a brother, Lee Putman in 1985.

Survivors include two sisters, Marie Henry and Norma Bryant of Owensboro, and nine nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday, November 1, 2007 at Glenn Funeral Home with Rev. Earl Ijames officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3 to 8 p.m., and after 9 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
