Juanita Keel, 92, of Owensboro, died Thursday, January 1, 2009, at Harborside Healthcare and Nursing Center. She was born May 26, 1916, to the late Haskel and Lillie Mae Billingsly Murray in Clay County. She was a member of Calvary Temple Assembly of God, retired from General Electric and enjoyed being with her friends and going out to eat.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernie E. Keel in 1966, a brother, Esten Murray, and two sisters, Essie Clements and Maudre Coffelt.
Survivors include a sister, Mamie Benitone of Herrin, IL; two nephews, James Clements of Celina, TN, and Jerry Benitone of Memphis, TN; two nieces, Betty Crowe of Red Boiling Springs, TN, and Naomi Coffelt of Tompkinsville, KY.
Services will be 12:00 PM Monday, at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM Sunday and after 10:00 AM Monday at the funeral home.
