Juanita Louise France, devoted Christian, Wife, and Mother, departed this life on Wednesday June 27, 2012 in Owensboro at the age of 87, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 23, 1925 in Muhlenburg Co., KY to the late Henry and Stella Dossett Case. On March 6, 1944 she married her loyal and dedicated husband, Rev. Owen William France who preceded her in death on March 6, 2011. Together for 67 years, they experienced the changing scenes of life in a joyous and fruitful companionship. Juanita worked a variety of jobs during the course of her lifetime, and finally retired from General Electric after many years of service. She was a life time member of The Church of God of Prophecy, where her husband served as a Minister. Her family and friends cherish the memories of her genuine love and her encouragement toward others to walk with Jesus.
Surviving are her four children, Shirley and husband Tommy Thomas of Georgetown, IN, Barbara France Doolin of Owensboro, William Donald "Don" France of Beaver Dam, and Dairl Waine France of Owensboro, eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Geneva Jewell and Christine Riehel, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 30 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 P.M. Friday and after 12 Noon Saturday at the funeral home.
