Mildred Juanita Carlton Case, 84, of Owensboro passed on to heaven at 6:20 a.m. January 1, 2015. She was born August 31, 1930 to the late James Carlton and Roxie Elliott Carlton of Ensor. She was a believer of Jesus Christ and a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church and also a member of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband Lucian Taylor (Buddy) Case January 14, 1966 in an accident at Green River Steel Co. Juanita worked at General Electric until she had her first child then was a homemaker until the death of her husband, then she returned to school and became a LPN working in nursing facilities until 1986 . She raised her sons to go to church and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and to love each other. Family was very important to her and she prayed for her family daily. She was a woman of strong character and will be greatly missed. Juanita would want us to thank everyone who cared for her during the last years of her life.
She is survived by her 4 sons Richard (Rick) Taylor Case (Valorie Flint) of Owensboro, James Michael (Mike) Case and wife Connie of Owensboro, Jesse Lee Case and wife Gay of Princeton, Jeffery (Jeff)Lynn Case and wife Karen of Paducah, and a brother, Dr. Bill Carlton and wife Jeanie of Florida.
Grandchildren; Landon Case, Nolan Case, Misty Buskill(Chad), Nicole Shores(Jason),Les Case(Tracie), Jill Harper, Kelly Lane (Cody), Sarah Case (fiance Brandon Anderson).
Great Grandchildren; Katie Buskill, Kealey Buskill, Michael Shores, Cameron Shores, Chloe Case, Preston Harper, Pryce Harper, Payson Lane, Emersyn Lane.
Services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 4, at Yellow Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory and after 1:00 P.M. Sunday at the church.
