Joyce Marie Stuart

Joyce Marie Stuart, 90, of Owensboro passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. The Muhlenberg County native was born December 31, 1933, to the late Garfield Joines and Eunice Gates Joines. Joyce graduated from Hughes-Kirk High School, class of 1952. She worked at the GE assembly plant for electric motors and later as a lunchroom worker for the Daviess County Public Schools retiring in 1996. Traveling to all 50 states, Joyce and her family loved trailer camping. She was a devoted member of First General Baptist Church and a member of Eastern Star. 

 In addition to her parents, Joyce also was preceded in death by her husband, Lendle “Len” Stuart in 2008; daughter, Benita Sutton; infant sister, Anna Florence Joines; her brothers, Arthur, Obba, and Okley Joines. 

 Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Keith Stuart (Rhonda); grandchildren, Brandon Sutton (Kelsie), Josh, Kayla, and D.J.; son-in-law, Keith Sutton; several nieces and nephews. 

 The funeral service will be noon Saturday, August 17 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with same day visitation from 9:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
