Joyce Ann Hessler

Joyce Ann Hessler, 80, of Owensboro, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.  She was born July 26, 1943 in Daviess County to the late Jesse and Helen Logsdon Boling.  Joyce was a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church and was a retired truck driver.   She enjoyed raising flowers, her job driving the truck, and cooking and baking for family and friends.  Joyce loved helping others especially providing food and meals for them.  She was also preceded in death by a brother, Donald Earl Boling and two sisters, Betty Jean Jenkins and Ethel Mae Bartlett.

 Surviving are a daughter, Carrie (Brian) Goodman and a son, Anthony “Tony” (Donna) Poiles, all of Owensboro; 12 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; a brother, Jesse (Betty) Boling of Pellville, and two sisters, Sandra (Steven) Garrett of Louisiana and Janet (Freddie) Hoagland of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.  Her daughter-in-law, Donna Poiles had been her caregiver throughout her illness.

 Funeral services will be 2 PM Saturday, April 27, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Kelly Cemetery at Maceo.   Visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.
