Joy Newby

Joy Newby, 49, of 609 West Highland Ave, Owensboro, passed away Thursday, March 4, 2004, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born in England and had worked for the Daviess Co. Senior Services with their Meals On Wheels program. She was a member of Sts. Joseph & Paul Catholic Church, loved to make scrapbooks and dearly loved her dog, Sparky. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was a much treasured sister and aunt. She was the daughter of the late Joe M. & Martha Millay Newby.

Surviving is her sister, Linda Piper of Owensboro, and two brothers, Steve Newby of Whitesville and Tony Newby of Utica, and several nieces & nephews.

Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday, March 8, 2004, at the Sts. Joseph & Paul Catholic Church with burial following in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00-7:00 P.M. Sunday and after 8:30 A.M. Monday. Prayers will be at 6:30 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
