Joy Lynne Bridges

Joy Lynne Bridges, 57, of Owensboro, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2024 while under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky. She was born September 1, 1966 in Daviess County. Joy had worked at Ragu and MizKan for 30 years where she was well loved by her work family. She enjoyed her pool time, traveling to the beach, reading, and spending time with her family. She was a very loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and “Mimi”. Joy also loved her dogs, Max and Dallas, very much. She was preceded in death by her father, Billy Wemes on October 15, 2022 and a stepson, Evan Keith Bridges December of 2022.

 Surviving are her husband of 13 years, Lionel K. Bridges; her mother, Sherrie Wemes of Owensboro; a daughter, Jasmine James and a son, Jordan James, both of Owensboro; “Bonus” daughters, Erica Carbon and Jade Bridges; eight grandchildren, Jeremiah Phillips, Charlotte Phillips, Abel Phillips, Genesis Carbon, Emersyn Rigney, Jasmine Bridges, Noah Hale, and Oliver Bridges; a great granddaughter, Nia Ward; a brother, Gregg Wemes of Brandenburg; and an uncle, Jim Sympson of Hartford.

 Funeral services will be 5 PM Sunday, July 14, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 1 PM until the time of the service Sunday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
