Josie E. McBride

Josie E. McBride, 78, of Owensboro passed away with her loving family at her side Tuesday, September 8, 2015 in the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born December 11, 1936 in Daviess County to the late Joseph I. and May Howard Mills.

Josie was a lifetime member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She loved, bingo, barbecues and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, James Randall McBride in 2012; a son, Rick McBride in 2001; a sister, Lucille Brant; and a brother, Bill Mills.

Josie is survived by a daughter, Pat (Bill) Weise of Utica; four sons, Joe (Glenda) McBride, Bobby (Gail) McBride, Bruce (Elaine) McBride, Jeff (Shavona) McBride, all of Owensboro; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; four sisters, Bernadine (Val) Payne, Betty Beavin, Carolyn (Earl) Howard and Bonnie (Jackie) Hudson; a brother, Tony (Joyce) Mills; four sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral mass will be at 10 AM Friday, September 11 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Burial will be at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 PM Thursday, with prayers at 6 PM, and after 9 AM on Friday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
