Joshua Hargis Helson, 25, of Chicago, died Friday, July 4, 2003 in Chicago. Born in The Phillipines, he was an artist and worked for Neon Design, Inc. He was a 2001 graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and loved music, art, spending time with family, traveling and bowling.

He is survived by his mother, Charlene Helson Jones of Dubai, United Arab Emirates; his father, Gary Helson and step-mother, Amalia Meza of San Diego, CA; his fiancee, Elizabeth Deull of New York; two brothers, Brian Helson of Reynolds Station and Andrew Meza Helson of San Deigo; two sisters, Heather Helson McGuirk of Denver and Ramsey Helson of Lexington; and grandmothers, Ann Helson Goetz of Owensboro and Willene Mattingly of Maceo; and two nieces and three nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m.Thursday, July 10, 2003 at the Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9 and after 11 A.M. on Thursday, July 10.
