Joshua Leigh Cravens, 44, of Owensboro, passed away Sunday, February 2, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Born December 9, 1980, in Daviess County, Joshua worked at Webstraunt, where his strong work ethic and unwavering dedication shone through in both his professional and personal life. Ever ready to go above and beyond for anyone, he consistently put others before himself and was always willing to help his family, no matter the need. He cherished memories of walking in the park with his children, watching movies, and cooking. A proud “sneaker head,” Joshua also found great joy in his love of superheroes, particularly Superman and Spiderman. He will be remembered as a thoughtful, grounded individual—someone who was always there for his loved ones. His children were his proudest achievements, and he was not only their protector but also a lighthearted joker who could spark laughter with a well-timed punchline. Joshua leaves behind a legacy of strength, kindness, and humor that will continue to inspire everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Joshua is preceded in death by his father, Homer Gale Cravens; stepfather, Ross Golden; and grandparents, Hugh “Darrell” and Martha Ann Howard.
Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Connie Golden; children, Rayleigh Cravens, Joshua Drake Cravens, Elijah Haycraft and Xavier Haycraft; sister, Nikki Napier (Dutch); aunts, Jean Kralik (Harry), Christie Miller (Frank) and Dee Harper; niece, Tia Napier; nephew, D.J. Napier; and many cousins.
The funeral service for Joshua will be 4 PM Monday, February 10, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 2 PM until time of service at the funeral home.
