Josephine G. Poteat
January 21, 1927 — December 19, 2002
Josephine ''Jo'' Poteat, 75, of 1912 Westview Dr., Owensboro, died Thursday, December 19, 2002 at the Owensboro Mercy Health Sytem. The Anniston, Al native was a homemaker and member of the Crosspointe Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, James P. Poteat; four sons, Jim Poteat of Owensboro, Steve Poteat of Philpot, Keith Poteat of Auburn, IL, and Jerry Dockery of Owensboro; a daughter, Lynn Fogle of Owensboro; 13 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 2:30 P.M. Saturday, December 21, 2002 at the Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Glenn Funeral Home from 4-8 P.M. on Friday and after 10 A.M. on Saturday.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Crosspointe Baptist Church Building Fund.
