Joseph Michael Tong

Joseph Michael Tong, 63, of Owensboro, died Wednesday, August 22. 2012 at his home . He was Born in Daviess County to the late Charles Walker and Frances (Payne) Tong. He was a member of Sts. Joseph and Paul Catholic Church. Mike had worked for Pepsi Cola, Clark Restaurant Service and Hazelrigg Vault Company. He enjoyed drag racing and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sons, Joseph Michael Jr., and Gregory Allen Tong, a sister, Mary Jane Tong, and his step-father, Jess Slaton.

Surviving are two daughters; Misty Field and Tanya Meeks, his brothers; Charlie (Beth) Tong, Steve (Sally) Tong, Danny (Regina) Tong, Wayne Tong, and John ( Kim )Slaton, all of Owensboro, nieces and nephews; John Slayton Jr., Jesse Slaton, Josh Hale, Jessica Hale, six grandchildren and several other nieces , nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Carmel Home Chapel with burial following in St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. and after 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Online condolences may be left at www.glennfuneralhome.com.
