Joseph C. Thornton, 36, of Owensboro, passed away June 15, 2016 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Born in Owensboro, January 29, 1980 to Donald and Gwynn Thornton, Joseph was graduate of Daviess County High School where he loved playing basketball through his Junior year. He loved UK basketball, NASCAR and pets.
Joseph was preceded in death by his grandparents, Earl and Florence Thornton and Stewart and Betty Southworth.
He is survived by his parents; sister, Lisa Whittaker and her husband Daniel; niece, Madeline Whittaker and nephew, Lucas Whittaker.
Services will be private.
