Joseph Victor Stallings Sr. 81,of Owensboro, died Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born in West Louisville, KY. to the late, Henry Steve and Mary Rena (Fenwick) Stallings. He served four years in the Air Force then 5 years in the Air Force Reserves. For 38 years he was the owner and operator of Leo's Conoco then became an independent distributor of Tom's Potato Chips, retiring in January of 2010. He was a member of Sts. Joseph and Paul Catholic Church, AmVets, and the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years,Emma Kathleen Stallings, a son, J. Victor Stallings Jr., and a daughter, Frances Yvonne Stallings.

Surviving are his children, Debby (Bill) Glenn, WaNell (George) Lanham, Sandee Glenn, Bonnie (Jimmy) Jones, Mark (Carlinia) Stallings, Frank (Debbie) Stallings, and Sam Stallings, all of Owensboro, and Rhonda (Joe) Davis of Phoenix, AZ., his longtime companion, Reatha "Tommy" Dunn of Owensboro, 50 grandchildren, 69 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and his faithful canine companion, Tinkerbelle.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Brad Whistle, Fr. Carl McCarthy, and Fr. Bruce McCarty officiating. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3 to 8 p.m. with prayers at 7:00 p.m.,and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Expresions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Daviess County Humane Society.
