Joseph Bernard Payne

Joseph Bernard J.B. Payne, 95, of Knottsville, died Saturday, August 5, 2006 at Bon Harbor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born November 5, 1910 to the late Sidney Ivo and Agnes Jane Millay Payne in Daviess County. He was a member of St. Williams Catholic Church and retired from Kentucky Electronics.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, Lois Ann Willoughby and Dorothy Marie Roberts and two sons, Raphael Bernard Payne and Vincent Leo Payne; six sisters and three brothers.

Survivors include his wife of 73 years, Mary Edna Payne; his son, Joseph A. Buster Payne of Knottsville; twelve grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Edna Mae Lanham of Knottsville.

Services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday at St. Williams Catholic Church with burial in St. Williams Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00 until 8:00 PM Monday with prayers at 6:00 PM at Glenn Funeral Home. Friends may call after 8:30 AM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
