Joseph Franklin Frankie Lestage, 35, of 1910 West 5th Street, Owensboro, died Sunday, January 25, 2004, at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born April 3, 1968 to Raymond and Brenda Sumner Lestage in Daviess County. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and camping.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Layton O. Sumner, who died in 1980.

Survivors include his ex-wife, Rebecca Lindsey of Owensboro, one son, Joseph Franklin Lestage, II, two daughters, Leah Marie Lestage and April Lucinda Ashley, all at home, mother and step-father, Brenda and Bill Berry of Owensboro, father, Raymond Lestage of Portland, Maine, maternal grandparents, Stoy and Wanda Butler of Utica, three brothers, Tracy Vansickle of Winchester, VA, Tony Vansickle of Owensboro, and Randy Vansickle of Utica, uncles and aunts, Robert Sumner of Bremen, Layton and Beverly Sumner of Central City, Michael Sumner of Central City, Patricia and Ceaser Duarte of Hartford, three great-aunts, two great-uncles, and ten nieces and nephews.

Services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, January 29, 2004, at Glenn Funeral Home, with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 2:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday, and after 10:00 AM Thursday at the funeral home.
