Joseph Johnson

Joseph "Jody" Johnson, 65, of Owensboro, died on June 10, 2014 at his home. He was born on October 12, 1948 to the late Francis and Lois Hollis Johnson. Jody was a truck driver. He was also a member of Sts. Joseph and Paul Catholic Church.

Jody graduated from Daviess County High School in 1966. He is a veteran of the Navy. Jody enjoyed Civil War history and loved playing pool.

Jody was preceded in death by his brother; Guy Richard Johnson.

Survivors include his spouse Roberta "Birdie" Davis Johnson, daughter; Tracy Johnson of Jackson, Michigan, son; Joseph Gentry of Dixon, step-daughter; Kim Payne of Owensboro, and sisters; Mary Edwards of South Carolina, and Libby O'Brien of Owensboro, grandchildren; Henry Miller and Jasmine Miller of Jackson, Michigan.

Services will be at 2PM Saturday June 14, 2014, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Rev. Pete Coble will officiate. Visitation will be at 12PM Saturday until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Owensboro Memorial Gardens following the service.
