Joseph W. Hurm

Joseph W. "Dutch" Hurm, 78, of Owensboro, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born in Daviess Co., Ky. to the late Paul F. and Mary Alberta Church Hurm. He was retired from Ideal Pure Milk Co. after 28 years and then Goldenrod Dairy after 14 years. He was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church and a U. S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ruth Kennedy Hurm on July 3, 2008 and a grandson, Richard Wayne Miles II on August 20, 2006.

Surviving are his daughter, Suzanne Miles and husband Richard of Midlothian, TX and a grandson, Trenton Joseph Miles of Waxahachie, TX.

Services will be 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, February 3 at Blessed Mother Catholic Church with Father John Meredith officiating. Burial will follow in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 P.M. Monday and after 9:00 A.M. Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home. Prayers will be 6:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
