Joseph Jody T. Howard, 58, of Lewisport, died Saturday, April 22, 2006 at Owensboro Medical Health System. The Daviess Co. native was born August 6, 1947 to the late Edward and Mary L. Reb Benningfield Howard. He had attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, retired from Browns Service Co. as a welder, and he was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War in which he received the Purple Heart. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Preceding him in death besides his parents were a son, Joseph Scott Howard and a sister, Josephine Middleton.
Survivors include his son, Frank Howard of Owensboro, his daughter, Kimberly Howard Quisenberry of Owensboro, and their mother, Deborah L. Howard of Owensboro, three grandchildren, Asten, Presten and Tristen, his beloved friend, Ann Ramsey of Pellville, four brothers, Donald E. Howard of Owensboro, James N. Nick and Karrie Howard of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, David E. and Tammy Howard of Owensboro, and Mark A. Tony and Cappie Howard of Spotsville, four sisters, Betty Jane Dennis of Owensboro, Linda and Mike Heisman of Owensboro, Carol and James Tucker of Lewisport, and Connie and Randall Stephens of Pellville and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Monday, April 24, 2006 at Glenn Funeral Home with Rev. Tim McGuire officiating. Burial will immediately follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be Sunday, April 23, 2006 from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. and Monday from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service Monday at the funeral home.
