Joseph Thomas House

Joseph Thomas "J.T." House, 28, of Maceo, passed away on November 25, 2012 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, TN. He was born in Owensboro to David and Tracy (Mc Cubbins) House.

J.T. studied at Owensboro Community and Technical College and graduated from Daviess County High School in 2002. As a student he played basketball, football and several other sports until his freshman year. He was on all star and travelling teams for several years. J.T.'s fondness for sports continued as he was an avid U.K. Basketball and Dallas Cowboys fan. He also enjoyed fishing, being outdoors (especially Carpenter's Lake and the ocean) and socializing with friends.

J.T. was pursuing a career as a union electrician. He worked as a C.W. for various local construction companies and was taking steps to earn his I.B.E.W. credentials.

J.T. was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph and Marjorie House; a grandmother, Claudia Ruth McCubbins; and uncles, Joseph H. and William P. House.

He is survived by his parents, David and Tracy House of Maceo; a sister, Angelia McBride; a grandfather, Lawrence Mc Cubbins, Sr. (Polly); an uncle, Lawrence McCubbins, Jr. (Becky), all of Owensboro; aunts, Becky Jean (Charlie), Joann Cecil, both of Owensboro, Lydia Diego (Ed) of Louisville and Roberta House of Owensboro; many cousins; and the beloved family dog, Max.

The funeral service will be held at Noon on Saturday, December 1 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Rev. Jim Bob Allen will officiate. Burial will be at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Friday from 3-8 PM and on Saturday after 10 AM at the funeral home.
