Jospeh "Jack" Higdon, 82, of Knottsville, passed away Friday, January 20, 2017 at his home surrounded by family and under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. Mr. Higdon was born June 14, 1934 to the late Augustine and Janie Aud Higdon. He was a member of St. Williams Parrish in Knottsville. Jack was literally a "jack of all trades" and demonstrated this by remodeling his own house. He had a great sense of humor, enjoyed NASCAR racing, baseball as a fan of the LA Dodgers, loved watching TV, especially John Wayne movies and working "find-a-word" puzzles.
Mr. Higdon was preceded in death by three of his four brothers, Gene, Billy and Charlie Higdon.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Stella Millay Higdon; daughters, Marlene Luellen of Whitesville, Cindy Sallee and husband Mike of Calhoun and Stacy Vernon of Owensboro; grandchildren, Brandon Higdon, Vanessa Payne, Jesse Payne and wife Megan, and Tyler Vernon; six great grandchildren; brother, Tommy Higdon; sisters, Patsy Roby, Margaret Skelton, Mary Helen Rhodes and Clara Lyninger.
There will be a service 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 24 at St. Williams Catholic Church in Knottsville with Father Ray Clark officiating. Burial will follow in St. Williams Cemetery.
