Joseph H. "Buddy" Pearl

Joseph H. “Buddy” Pearl, Jr., 70, of Owensboro, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born in Owensboro to the late Joseph H. Pearl, Sr. and Artie M. Brown Pearl.

Buddy was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a skilled mechanic and spent countless hours at local racetracks. Buddy was fun loving, free spirited, and will be missed by many.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Pamela K. Pearl and Rodger D. Pearl and a grandchild, Danielle Bodekor.

He is survived by daughters, Jesalyn Pearl, Sammy Jo Maher (R.J.) and Crissy Lynn Bodekor (Jason); grandchildren, Alexandra, Katelyn, Ashley, Drew, Garrett and Saralyn; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jensen, Piper, Phenix and Ellison; sister, Emily Smith (Rob); brothers, Tim Pearl (Bobbi) and Cody Pearl (Alyssa); several nieces and nephews, including Summer, Justin, Keegan and Kyle Pearl; and Sammy Jo and Crissy Lynn’s mother, Deborah Higgs.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 -4:00 PM, Saturday, December 6 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
