Dr. Joseph E. Etienne, 59, of Owensboro, died March 11, 2014 at his home. He was born December 2, 1954 in Perry County, IN; to the late Edgar and Helen Jacobs Etienne. Joseph also was preceded in death by a daughter, Catrina Louise Etienne and a sister, Betty Voges. He was a retired audiologist with Western Kentucky University. Joseph was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church.

Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Darlina McBride Etienne of Owensboro; children, Christal Lynn Clark, and her fiance' Andy Igleheart of Owensboro and Brandon Joseph (Elizabeth) Etienne of Henderson, KY; grandchildren, Ethan Clark, Julian and Carson English; sisters, Mary Ann Blandford of Tell City, IN, Rose (Melvin) McBrayer of Cannelton, IN, and Bonnie (Milt) Reed; several nieces and nephews and his loving WKU family.

A memorial service will be held at 10 AM on Friday, March 14, 2014 at Glenn Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro with Father Bruce McCarty presiding. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to either Hospice of Western Kentucky or Western Kentucky University's Communication Disorders Department. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
