Joseph Darrell Crisp

Joseph Darrell Crisp, 70, of Owensboro, died Saturday, January 17, 2009, at his home. He was born February 26, 1938 to the late Joseph Bernard and Mary Rita Kennedy Crisp in Daviess County. He was a pipefitter with Local 633 for 40 years, and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. He enjoyed NASCAR racing, fishing, working in his yard, and being with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Jeanette Payne.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Julia Ann Crisp; his sons, David Crisp and his wife, Cheryl, Joey Crisp and his wife, Karen, his daughters, Sandra Pike, and Tammy Miller, all of Owensboro; thirteen grandchildren, Jason, Jonathan, Jarod, Nick, Jamie and Michael Crisp, Jimmy and Bryan Riney, Kara Kessinger, Krystal Hale, Bradley Miller, Magan and Preston Pike; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Jimmy Crisp of Owensboro, two sisters, Betty MacConachie of St. Louis, and Cathy Morrison of Owensboro.

Services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, with Father Brad Whistle officiating, with entombment in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday, with prayers at 7:00 PM at Glenn Funeral Home. Visitation will be after 8:30 AM Tuesday at the funeral home.
