Joseph Lee Cartwright
February 5, 1915 — August 25, 2001
Joseph Lee Cartwright, 86, of 1117 Ogelsby St, Owensboro, died Saturday, August 25, 2001 at the Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Breckenridge County native was a retired carpenter with Sargent-Sturgeon Builders. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Cartwright was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Johnson Cartwright in 1975 and a son, Wayne Cartwright in 1994.
Survivors include a son, Jerry D. Cartwright of Owensboro; a daughter, JoAnn Sumner of San Antonio, TX; 4 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 1 P.M., Tuesday, August 28, 2001 at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3-8 P.M. Monday and after 9 A.M. Tuesday.
