Joseph Burns

Joseph "Joe" Clarence Burns, Jr. 77 departed to his forever home on Friday July 31, 2015 in the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. Joe was a member of Eaton Memorial Baptist Church. He was born September 16, 1937 to the late Joseph Sr. and Frances Burns. Joe retired from his Service Management position at Don Moore and as a GRITS Transportation Driver. He was a dedicated husband, father, and brother.

Joe loved his wife, family, the Lord, his church, and word find puzzles.


Joe was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, a brother, and his beloved Pomeranian, Joe's Foxy Lady.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Mary L. Brown Burns; sisters, Katherine Rogers and Jackie Cole; sons, Jerry L Brown of Junction City, KS and Joseph N. Burns of Florida; daughters, Karen D. Clark Glenn (Jeff) and Mary M. Burns Fitzgerald; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services are Monday August 3, 2015 at 2:00pm at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor Dennis McFadden officiating. Visitation will be Monday August 3, 2015 from 1:00pm until time of service.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donation to Eaton Memorial Baptist Church.
