Joseph Autry Anderson

Joseph Autry Anderson, 91, of 1819 Cherokee Drive, Owensboro, died, Monday, June, 9, 2003 at Leisure Years Nursing Home. Mr. Anderson was a native of Daviess County, and retired from General Electric, maintenance department after 29 years. He also worked for Hartz Brothers Construction before he began at General Electric. He was a member of Third Baptist Church, and Baracca Sunday School class, TPA member, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and Kentucky Basketball.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Sue Kirk Anderson; three daughters, Jackie Faye Wells, and Jean Anderson Snyder, both of Owensboro, and Cheryl Lynn Bruner of Madison, TN; seven grandchildren, Vickie Wells, Phillip Wells, Melody Hayden, and Michelle Carrico, all of Owensboro, LaDonna Douglas of Indianapolis, IN, Byron Bruner of Nashville, TN, and Erika Hall of Madison, TN; 11 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Marie Jones of Piedmont, AL and Juanita Strobel of Utica, KY.

Funeral Services will be held at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, Thursday, June 12, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2003 and after 8:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bathabara Cemetery at Habit.
