Jonnie Vee Brown

Jonnie Vee Brown, 76, of Owensboro passed away on Friday, August 22 at the Heartford House. She was born in Sacramento, Kentucky to the late John Henry and Louvenia Mae Reynolds.

Jonnie Vee retired from Hall Street Baptist Church where she had served as church secretary for 22 years. She was also a longtime and active member of Hall Street where her many activities included choir, cleaning and nursery. In recent years, she and her husband had joined Walnut Memorial Baptist Church. Jonnie Vee enjoyed camping, arts and crafts, going to Florida beaches, yard work and most of all, spending time with family.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Marvin and David Reynolds.

Jonnie Vee is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ford Brown; daughters, Ronda Mills (Steve) of Owensboro and Kim Pope (Darryl) of Atlanta; 4 grandchildren, Natasha Crandall (Justin), Krystal Rowan (B.J.), Miranda Pope and Chelsea Pope; 7 great grandchildren, Destinee Crandall, Brendan Stewart, Lezlie Stewart, Kaylen Rowan, Kendra Rowan, Grace Shreve and William Rowan; sisters, Maxine Williams, Lilda Martin, Carolyn Erwin, and Rita Rickard; a brother, James Reynolds; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 26 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Rev. Eugene Howard and Rev. Tim Royal will officiate. Burial will be at Green River Memorial Gardens in Livermore. Visitation will be from 4 - 8 PM Monday and after 9 AM Tuesday at the funeral home.
