Jonathan "Jon" McDonald

Jonathan "Jon" McDonald, 41, of Vine Grove, Ky. passed away March 8, 2017 at his residence. He was born October 19, 1975 in Bowling Green, Ky. to Mark and Betty McDonald. After graduating from Warren Central High School in Bowling Green, he went to work as a cook and spent the next several years enjoying himself working in the restaurant industry and cooking for his girlfriend and family. Jon loved NASCAR and was an avid Jeff Gordon fan. He also was a big fan of hunting and fishing, and thoroughly enjoyed his dogs Dave and Frankie.

Jonathan was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Myrl Horton; and his Papaw, Herbert F. Smith.

Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Mark and Betty McDonald of Bowling Green; sister, Angela McDonald of Bowling Green; his mammaw, Helyn Smith of Lawrenceburg; his longtime companion, Beverly Corder of Vine Grove; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The service will be 2 PM Sunday March 12, 2017 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Michael Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow at New Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM and Sunday after 12:00 PM at the funeral home.
