John Allen Young

John Allen Young, 60, of Owensboro, passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at his home. He was born on October 6, 1952 in Daviess Co., KY to the late Garland and Mary Lou Young. He was of the Pentecostal faith and enjoyed hunting, fishing, his dogs, and U.K. basketball. He was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters including Henry Young on Sept. 13, 2008.

Surviving are his sisters, Valerie (Bobby) Ford and Barbara (James) Boone, all of Owensboro, a brother, Joe (Brenda) Young of Maceo, several nieces and nephews including Charlie Boone, Rebecca Cox, Teresa Green, and Jeremy Young, and several great nieces and nephews.

Services will be 12 Noon Monday, November 12, in the Chapel at Rosehill Cemetery with burial following in Elmwood cemetery. Visitation will be after 9:00 A.M. Monday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. www.glennfuneralhome.com.
