Jack Sweet, 55, of Owensboro, Kentucky died December 31, 2007, at his residence. Born in Ticonderoga, NY to John and Joyce Sweet, he was a heavy equipment operator at A-E Power Plant in Rockport. Jack graduated from Mirah Central High School in Mirah, NY and from Kentucky Wesleyan College with a Bachelor of Science degree in physical education. He was an avid reader and outdoorsman and an eclectic rocker who loved Bruce Springsteen and The Rolling Stones.
Survivors include his wife Sharon Sweet; a son, Andrew Carl Beasley of Rockport, IN; his parents, John Edward and Joyce Thompson Sweet of Port Henry, NY; a sister, Janice Sweet of Pine Bush, NY; his aunt, Jane Rayner of Port Henry, NY; his nieces and nephew; Amanda Clark of Owensboro, Bethanie Clark of Nashville, TN, and Kevin Clark and his wife Melanie of Owensboro; great-nieces, Kelsey Clark, Kendall Clark, and Olivia Clark all of Owensboro; and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Carol and Mickey Taylor of Owensboro
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2008, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Glenn Funeral Home
