John Baird Morgan

John Baird Morgan, 94 of Gulf Stream, FL formerly of Owensboro died Sunday, August 11, 2002 at Marriott Brighton Gardens in Boynton Beach, FL. He was born in Wayne County, Kentucky on September 21, 1907 the son of Robert W. and Matilda Carter Morgan.

Mr. Morgan worked with Miller-Scharelli Oil Co. beginning in 1933 and was co-owner of Morgan Bros. Oil Field Trucking Company for 28 years. He was Deacon, Trustee Emeritus and member of Third Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Huebner Morgan; two daughters, Alice Von Essen of Gulf Stream. FL and Jon Ann Morgan of Plantation, FL; two grandson and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, August 17, 2002 at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Reverend Herschel Morgan. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. His family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 16, 2002 and after 9:00 a.m. Saturday.
