John Alfred Maurice

John Alfred Maurice, Sr., 64 of Owensboro passed away Monday, November 20, 2006 at the Owensboro Medical Health System. Born in Clinton, IN, Mr. Maurice was the son of the late Kenneth and Catherine Wilkey Maurice. He was the co-owner of Maurice Pools and Spas; a 32nd Degree Mason (Louisville Lodge); and loved baseball and horse racing--was the owner of the thoroughbred Prince of Price. But most importantly, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Judy Kay Latinovich Maurice; a son, John (and Barb) Maurice, Jr. of Owensboro; daughters, Adina (and Steve) Russell of Mt. Pleasant, TX, and Myra (and Tom) Weis and Crystal (and Scott) Wall all of Owensboro; grandchildren, Grayson Russell, Nicollette Weis, Thomas Weis, Madison Russell, Noah Weis, Harison Russell, Jaden Wall, and Jamison Wall; and brothers, Kenneth Maurice, Jr. and George Maurice of Clinton, IN; and a sister, Kay Jean Baker of Algona, IA; and several nieces and nephews.

Service are 11:30 A.M. Saturday, November 25, 2006 at Glenn Funeral Home with Rev. Wes Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 P.M. on Friday with a Masonic Service at 6 P.M. and after 10 A.M. on Saturday.
