John Allen Lindsey, 71, passed away May 26, 2015, while in the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born March 27, 1944 in Hancock County, to the late James and Mildred "Polly" Lindsey. John served his country proudly in the US Navy and was stationed on the USS Enterprise. He spent his time enjoying fishing, puzzles, and watching baseball games. John loved his family. He enjoyed time with his children, grandchildren and time spent at family reunions.
John is preceded in death by a nephew, Jason Lindsey.
He is survived by a son, Eric Lindsey; two daughters, Kelly Montgomery, and Nina Lindsey and her fianc, Buddy Johnson; a brother, Jimmy Lindsey; two sisters, Clora Lee Harvey (Cecil) and Barbara Spindel (Stu) and several nieces.
Visitation will be 3:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 28, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory and 9:00 a.m. until the time of service Friday. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will take place Saturday at Rosehill Cemetery.
