John W. Lawrence

John W. Lawrence, 62, of Fort Pierce, FL formerly of Owensboro passed away Saturday, November 25, 2017 at his home. He was born March 11, 1955 to the late James and Martha Lawrence. He retired from Glenmore Distillery after more than 30 years of service. John loved boating, skiing, and the outdoors. He enjoyed building computers, buying new trucks, and he loved the ocean. John played drums in his own band which consisted of many types of music.
Survivors include his wife of 8 years, Rebecca Lawrence of Fort Pierce, FL; his son, Jonathan Lawrence of Owensboro; his daughters, Ciera McCoy (Jerry) of Whitesville, KY and Angela Nale (Jason) of Cape Coral, FL; his brothers, Phillip Lawrence of Owensboro and James Lawrence of Owensboro; his sisters, Rose Head of Owensboro and Judy Wood of Owensboro; 5 grandchildren
Graveside service will be 2PM Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Owensboro Memorial Gardens Chapel. Visitation will be 1-4PM Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
