John Thomas Koller, 80, of Owensboro and Henderson, passed away Friday, January 5, 2018 at the Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Born June 7, 1937 in Philpot, he was the son of the late John Nicholas and Bessie Abbott Koller. Mr. Koller retired from Commonwealth Aluminum but his true love was farming. He attended Chapel Hill United Methodist Church in Henderson and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Sorgho. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Rebecca Koller in 1994; a grandson, James Everett Koller; and a brother, John William Koller.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Koller; children, Laura Grimes (Kenneth), Judy Easton Hancock (Randall), John Jeffrey "Jeff" Koller (Sherri), and James Nicholas "Nick" Koller (Patti); grandchildren, Jimmy Lee Easton, Hannah Koller, Michael Grimes (Elizabeth), Becca Grimes, and Rachel Hancock; a great-grandchild, Eleanor Grimes; and many cousins.
The service will be 12 Noon, Tuesday, January 9, 2018 in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Sorgho. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Monday and after 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
