John L. Jones

John L. Jones, 81, of Owensboro, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2015 at the Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson. He was born February 19, 1934 in Daviess Co., KY. He was retired from the American Tobacco Co. after over 30 years of service. John was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed U. K. basketball. He was preceded in death by his wife Wanda F. Jones in 2001.

Surviving are his children, Debbie Lambert and husband David of Philpot, Aaron Jones and John E. Jones, both of Owensboro, and Gregory Daniel Jones and wife Julie of Raleigh, N. C., four grandchildren, John Nicholas Jones and Amy Jones, both of Owensboro, Tabema Miles and husband Shaun of Philpot, and David Bradley Lambert and wife Sara of Evansville, IN, and several great grandchildren.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, July 16, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Brushy Fork Cemetery in Daviess Co. Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday and after 12 Noon Thursday at the funeral home.
