John William Hatfield

John William Hatfield, 53, of Owensboro, KY, passed away March 22, 2018. He was born March 7, 1965, in Owensboro, to William David and Ann Byers Hatfield. John graduated from Apollo High School in 1983 where he was involved with the band and played the tuba. He also attended the University of Kentucky and was a Computer Specialist in the United States Marine Corps. He enjoyed computer games and was an avid reader. John also enjoyed taking care of all of God's creatures and had a special place in his heart for cats, and it was very obvious they loved him back.


He was preceded in death by his mother, Ann Byers Hatfield; and a niece Kathryn Elizabeth Hatfield.


John is survived by his father, William David Hatfield; a sister, Barbara Ann Hatfield; a brother, David Stanley Hatfield; a nephew, Joshua Tanner Hatfield; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his beloved cats, Mooch, Mimi, Earl, Ernie, and Missy.


Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory has been entrusted with Mr. Hatfield's arrangements.
