John N. Hartgrove

John N. Hartgrove, 73, of Owensboro, died Thursday, March 11, 2010, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He was born August 18, 1936 to the late Edwin and Martha Conaway Hartgrove in Madison, IN. He was retired from OMU as Director of Power Production after 31 years of service. He was a Navy Veteran, a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, and the United Methodist Men. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, working at church, and being with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Shirley Hartgrove; his children, Rob Hartgrove and his wife, Donna, Julie Stallings and her husband, Brett, all of Owensboro; four grandchildren, Lucas Hartgrove, Wesley Hartgrove, Bridget Stallings, and Austin Stallings; his brother, Edwin Hartgrove and his wife, Pat of Indianapolis, IN.

Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, at Trinity United Methodist Church. Visitation will be 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM Sunday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory and after 10:00 AM Monday at the church.
